4.1 Responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the unit.

4.1 Responsible for the proper functioning and maintenance of OT equipment, availability of drugs and fluids required for daily use.

4.2 Provides resource management in the daily OT procedures.

4.3 Works closely with senior management, head of department and doctors to ensure a high standard of medical care and meet/exceed customers' expectations.

5.1 Leadership

5.1.1 Accepts accountability for services through which direct medical care is given to patients.

5.1.2 Works with a team in rendering professional medical care as and when required.

5.1.3 Promotes and maintains a good working relationship among medical staff, other hospital employees, patients, and public.

5.1.4 Ensures customer-friendly service is promoted to the staff through role modeling.

5.1.5 Maintains an effective and open line of communication.

5.2 Technical Risk & Safety Management

5.2.1 Ensures compliance of unit/dept with hospital policies and procedures.

5.2.2 To enforce infection control practices in the unit.

5.2.3 Facilitates continuous quality improvement initiatives and activities.

5.2.4 Contributes ideas and action plans for technical quality improvement

and better patient safety management.
